If you want a full strength setup in one footprint, the CORTEX SM-26 stacks six stations into a frame measuring 203.5cm long by 151.3cm wide, so a single corner covers Smith work, power rack lifts and cable training. Dual 70kg weight stacks give you 140kg of selectorised load, and the 18kg needle-bearing Smith bar is rated to 220kg.
It suits a serious home lifter who trains alone and wants a dual-stack functional trainer, chin-up bar, dip station and landmine on one 16-gauge steel frame. An optional kit takes the stacks to 200kg total when you outgrow the standard setup, so the frame grows with the lifter.
What stands out is the 2:1 cable ratio: each handle feels about half its stack, roughly 34kg from a full 70kg stack, so single-arm work stays smooth and controllable through a long cable travel.
At 296kg and 218.6cm tall, it isn't moving once built, so pick its spot carefully. The real draw is six stations in one frame, from Smith to landmine.

Six training stations share one frame: a Smith machine, a power rack, a dual-stack functional trainer, a multi-grip chin-up bar, a dip station and a barbell landmine.
That means one footprint handles pressing, squatting, cable work, pull-ups and rotational training without a wall of separate machines.
What this means for you: For a one-room home gym, this covers the big movement patterns on a single frame instead of three or four machines.
The frame is powder-coated 16-gauge (1.5mm) steel braced with 3mm reinforced steel plates.
The reinforcing plates add rigidity, so the frame stays stable when you load the Smith bar or hang off the pull-up bar.
What this means for you: A 296kg frame stays planted during heavy pressing and pulling, so you feel the load, not the machine moving under you.
Two independent 70kg stacks give you 140kg of selectorised weight across the dual functional trainer.
Each stack runs 13 x 5kg plates plus a 5kg rod, so you adjust resistance with a pin instead of loading discs.
What this means for you: Two separate stacks let you train each side independently, so a stronger arm can't carry a weaker one when you pull with both handles.
A full-length shroud encloses the weight stacks top to bottom rather than leaving them exposed.
It stops foreign objects getting in among the moving plates and adds rigidity to the stack towers.
What this means for you: If this machine lives in a busy shared space, the enclosed stacks are a detail I'd want.
The Smith bar is an 18kg solid steel core, 203cm long, with needle bearings and Olympic 50mm sleeves.
Needle bearings give the sleeves smooth rotation, and the Smith station is rated to a 220kg max.
What this means for you: A 220kg rating means the Smith station won't be what limits the vast majority of home lifters.
The Smith machine guides the bar on a fixed vertical path, which lets you train pressing and squatting solo without a spotter standing over you.
Ten height positions let you set catch and start points to your body and the lift.
What this means for you: When I'm coaching first-time lifters on heavy pressing, a guided bar with set catch points is the setup I trust them to use alone.
The cable system runs on stainless steel pulleys at a 2:1 ratio, giving a smooth, consistent pull through the full range.
Stainless pulleys resist corrosion and keep the cable tracking cleanly over years of use.
What this means for you: Smooth cable travel is the detail you feel on every rep, so this is the bit of the spec I'd stake the recommendation on.
An optional add-on kit expands the cable work with a dedicated chest fly and pulley station.
It is made for the SM-26 only (check your frame has the required hole configuration), so you can start with the core machine and add the fly station when you want it.
What this means for you: If pec work is a priority, the fly kit is worth adding; ask us for a quote so you can budget the full build.
You can upgrade the dual stacks from 2 x 70kg to 2 x 100kg, taking total selectorised weight to 200kg.
The upgrade makes sense for stronger lifters who'll outgrow 140kg on bilateral cable movements.
What this means for you: Most home lifters are fine on 140kg, but if you row or pull down heavy, the 200kg upgrade stops the stack being the limit. Ask us for a quote.

Effort: a job for two or more people, 16 assembly steps in the manual. Tools: a spanner and an Allen (hex) key (bolts and fixings are included).
Yes. The frame stands 218.6cm tall, so it fits under a standard 2.4m Australian ceiling with about 21cm to spare. That's tight for chin-ups, so check your headroom if you plan to use the chin-up bar. The squat rack height adjusts to a maximum of 1.8m. Footprint on the floor is 203.5cm long by 151.3cm wide, so measure your space before you build, since it doesn't fold away.
A 2:1 ratio means you lift roughly half the plate weight you select. On the stack, the bilateral pulley ratio is 0.98 and unilateral is 0.49. So a full 70kg stack feels like about 34kg per arm on single-arm work. That's ideal for high-rep cable movements and lets you load smoothly without needing massive stacks.
Yes. The SM-26 ships with 2 x 70kg stacks (140kg total), each made of 13 x 5kg steel plates and a 5kg rod. If you outgrow that, the stacks are upgradable to 2 x 100kg (200kg total). So the machine grows with the lifter rather than capping you early. That's where this one earns its keep for a serious home setup.
Lifters who want a full strength station in one footprint: Smith machine, power rack, dual-stack functional trainer, chin-up bar, dip station and a landmine. The 16-gauge steel frame and 220kg Smith load handle heavy training. The pull-up bar holds 200kg. From beginner to experienced, it covers pressing, pulling, squatting and cable work without needing separate machines.
Plenty. You get a landmine handle, straight curl bar, two single-arm attachments, a lat pulldown bar, leg roller, extension chains, two J-hooks and two safety spotter arms. So you can train most cable and rack movements straight out of the box. Storage is sorted too: four plate pegs, a vertical barbell holder and attachment hangers keep it tidy.
The manual recommends two or more people and runs to 16 steps. You'll need a spanner and an Allen (hex) key, and all the bolts and fixings are included. At 296kg net weight across multiple boxes, give yourself space and a second set of hands to move the parts and square up the frame as you build.
