I started Cardio Online Superstore in 2018 because too many Australians were settling for less — a number in a queue, a useless AI bot on live chat, a customer rep who has no idea about the equipment they're selling. That's not a standard I was willing to accept. Aussies deserve better.
Where We Come From
When I started Cardio Online Superstore as a side project in 2018, it came from a moment of pure frustration that I'm pretty sure every Aussie has experienced.
I was trying to buy a home gym from a major big-box retailer. I jumped on their live chat — and got an AI bot that sent me in circles and never connected me to an actual person. I tried calling and spent 45 minutes on hold, only to finally speak to someone who clearly had no idea about home gyms.
Trying to reach a human who actually knew their stuff was harder than pulling teeth. All I wanted was a straight answer to a specific question about the specs — so I'd know if this product was right for me before handing over thousands of dollars.
I thought to myself:
Why should I give this company my hard-earned cash when they clearly don't look after the customer?
I'm sure you've felt the same frustration more than once. There had to be a better way.
