Great quality product, a few steps missing in the instructions, working well so far
The overall build quality and features is good, however, for longer legged persons, the leg extension exercise is pretty unusable, due to feet running into the base support. This is due to the quite low positioning of the under knee support. So I set about designing and fabricating an accessory under knee support which lifted my knees high enough to give my feet proper clearance in the leg extension exercise. My accessory fits in place of the preacher pad component, and is adjustable in height in three steps, just like the preacher pad. There are no modifications to the base unit. I have included some pictures of the my accessory. I am not wishing to manufacture these myself, but I would suggest to the manufacturers that they consider this as an included accessory.
I brought by this recently Im very impressed. Setting it up took a whole day. The instructions werent to bad to follow. Easy to use and Im loving my journey with this product
Overall strong built, good quality for price. After reading previous reviews I took time to go through assembly instructions prior to start putting together which assist with final result. Assembly process was done alone without major issues. A few areas for improvement: 1- Parts description in the manual are not the same in the nuts and bolts bags. On the bags they were listed in foreign language. Thankfully parts measurements were also included allowing cross referencing. I added notes to all bags with manual reference. 2- With most images in the manual being black and white, some bolts are quite difficult to see. 3- Pulleys assembly could contain more details. Perhaps two small images showing the assembly of the two pulley variants. 4- As for the cables a note informing what the O-rings function is would be recommended. One got peeled off when testing the equipment. Also read on previous review that some exercises are not suitable for taller people, however, being 185cm I experienced no issues. It is a good equipment, compact considering its functionality, not sure if would need the extra weight pack.
It is a good all round gym station. It provides the pin weight exercises I used when going to gym. Looks good and compact.
Had it for a month now, and does everything I need. Spent 3 days putting it together, and no problems. I can understand how people can run into problems trying to assemble this product in 4 hours or less
I have been able to give up my gym membership because this machine has everything I need.
I seldom write a review on a product or the company from which it was bought from UNLESS the product or company exceeded my expectations. The SS3 is what my sons and I expected it to be... a very safe way to build the targeted muscles compared to free weights. But the 5star rating goes to Lifespan Fitness and it's parent company Global F&L for the great customer service that they have provided. The email response from our queries were fast and courteous. It's Technical Support team found what we needed and sent the necessary heavy duty washer for us to finish the assembly
We just finished putting this together, and now its done I love it! Putting it together however was shocking, mostly due to really poor instructions that completely miss steps or key information. Overall I recommend the product, but know its a challenge to install!
