Talk to a treadmill specialist| Motor | 3.5 HP |
| Speed Range | 0.8 - 18 km/h |
| Running Surface | 125 cm x 48 cm |
| Incline | 15 levels, automatic |
| Max User Weight | 150 kg |
If you walk and jog and want full incline control at home, the Everfit CHI480 pairs a 3.5 HP motor with a 0.8 to 18 km/h speed range and 15 automatic incline levels. The 125 cm x 48 cm belt and 150 kg max user weight suit walking and jogging for most heights; regular runners at 12 km/h and above should look at a longer belt.
It suits a household that wants a treadmill it can tuck away between sessions, with a hydraulic fold-down, built-in transport wheels, and a 5-inch LCD running 12 pre-set programs plus automatic belt lubrication to cut maintenance.
What stands out is the 15-level automatic incline paired with a top speed of 18 km/h: that combination lets you build genuine hill sessions and faster intervals, not just flat walks.
The 48 cm belt feels tight if you run fast or you're over 180 cm, so it suits joggers best. Its spout-fed belt lubrication is what I'd stake the recommendation on.

The 3.5 HP motor gives you a working range from a slow 0.8 km/h walk up to an 18 km/h run, so one machine covers easy walks, steady jogs and short faster intervals.
That bottom speed matters more than people expect: it lets you warm up or cool down at a genuinely gentle pace instead of being forced into a jog.
What this means for you: This motor has headroom for walking, jogging and interval work; the 125 cm belt, not the motor, sets the ceiling for sustained running.
Fifteen motorised incline levels adjust at the touch of a button, so you can add gradient without stopping to change anything manually.
Incline work raises the effort of a walk or jog, which is a simple way to build intensity when you don't want to run faster.
What this means for you: If you want to train harder at a walking pace, incline raises the effort without needing more speed.
The deck uses a butterfly spring joint support system with 6-point dual rubber cushioning to soften each footstrike as you run.
In practice this gives the deck some give underfoot rather than the dead, hard feel of a cheap board, which helps with comfort on longer sessions.
What this means for you: The deck is supportive rather than pillowy, which is what I prefer for people clocking regular kilometres at home.
The 5-inch LCD screen keeps speed, time, distance, calories and pulse in front of you, so you can read your session at a glance.
USB and MP3 input plus dual built-in speakers let you play your own audio without needing earphones for every run.
What this means for you: The grip pulse sensors handle casual tracking; for accurate heart-rate zones you'd need a separate heart-rate monitor.
Everfit lists automatic belt lubrication. Per the manual, you check the belt about monthly (or every 30 hours of use) and, when it's dry, top up through two oil spouts under the treadmill rather than lifting the belt.
Belt lubrication is the maintenance step most people forget, and skipping it is what shortens a treadmill's life, so the spout system makes it a quick job.
What this means for you: Easier lubrication means the job actually gets done, which keeps the belt and motor happier over time.
The hydraulic fold-down lets you raise the deck to shrink the footprint from 173 cm long down to a folded 90 cm, so it tucks away between sessions.
Built-in transport wheels let you tilt and roll it into a corner rather than dragging the full frame across the floor.
What this means for you: Folded, it fits a standard room easily; the hydraulic assist controls the descent so the deck doesn't drop on you.
Assembly is required: the manual covers raising the frame until it locks, bolting the supports and handles in place, and fitting the two front covers.
A multi-function wrench and 5 mm and 6 mm Allen keys come in the hardware pack, and the front covers fix with cross-head self-tapping screws. The safety tether key is there from the first session.
What this means for you: You can have it built and running the same day it arrives, and our 100-day money-back guarantee gives you time to be sure it suits you.

The 3.5 HP motor stays reasonably quiet at walking and jogging speeds. Push it toward the top speed of 18 km/h and you'll hear more motor hum plus your own footstrike. On an upstairs install, a 6 mm rubber mat under the deck cuts the thud transferred to rooms below. Expect normal-conversation levels during a steady run.
The belt is 125 cm long and 48 cm wide. That length covers walking and jogging up to about 12 km/h for users up to around 185 cm tall. If you run at 12 km/h or faster, we'd recommend a belt of 130 cm or longer, and longer again if you're tall. Confirm your height and usual pace against the surface before committing.
You get 15 automatic incline levels, adjusted straight from the 5-inch LCD console, so no stopping to shift anything manually. Incline adds real intensity without raising speed, which is handy for hill-style sessions and keeping walks challenging. I lean on incline a lot with clients who want harder work at a controlled pace rather than faster running.
The built-in pulse grip sensors give you a rough read, fine for a general check mid-session. For accurate heart-rate zones, use a separate heart-rate monitor so you're actually training at the right intensity. Grip sensors also mean holding the handrails, which changes your gait, so I only use them for spot checks rather than continuous monitoring.
Assembled it's 173 cm long, 77 cm wide and 128 cm tall. The hydraulic fold-down brings the footprint to 90 cm long once stored, though it rises to 140 cm tall folded, so check that clearance. Built-in transport wheels let you roll it to a corner between sessions, which makes it workable in a shared room.
Assembly is required. The manual walks through 4 illustrated steps: raise the frame until it locks, bolt the supports and handles in place, then fit the front covers. A multi-function wrench and 5 mm and 6 mm Allen keys are supplied; the front covers use cross-head self-tapping screws. The user manual and lubricating oil are in the box, and Everfit asks that you check the belt for lubrication before first use.
