Flywheel25 lb (11.3 kg)
Length178 cm

If you want a low-impact cardio session at home and care about quiet, the Sole E35 runs on a whisper-quiet drive with an 11.3 kg (25 lb) flywheel that keeps the stride smooth even at pace. It handles users up to 158 kg and offers 20 resistance levels plus 20 levels of power incline from a 10.1-inch touchscreen.

It suits a household wanting a full cardio station in one footprint, with Wi-Fi, screen mirroring, preloaded apps, a cooling fan, Bluetooth speakers and wireless device charging all built in. The 3-position adjustable pedals and multi-position handlebars help people of different sizes share the same machine.

The trade-off to know up front: it's a permanent, non-folding machine 178 cm long with a 35.6 cm step-up height, so check your floor space and your headroom (your height plus the step-up) before you order.

Is this cross trainer right for you?

This cross trainer is right for you if:

  • You want low-impact cardio 4-6 days a week with a long, smooth stride and 20 resistance levels to push against
  • You like training with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, screen mirroring, preloaded apps and SOLE+ integration
  • You want power incline through 20 levels to target glutes, quads and calves without moving the machine
  • You weigh up to 158 kg or share the machine with heavier household users

Look at another option if:

  • You train occasionally and don't need 20 resistance levels or a 25 lb flywheel
  • You prefer a stripped-back console and won't use the touchscreen, speakers or app connectivity
  • You're on a tighter budget and happy with a lighter, simpler cross trainer for short walks
  • You have very little floor space and need something more compact than 178 cm long by 79 cm wide

Adela's Take

What stands out is the 2-degree inward pedal slope. It tracks your feet more naturally through the stride, so on longer sessions you don't get that ankle roll that nags on cheaper cross trainers.

The 35.6 cm (14-inch) step-up height is fairly tall, so check your ceiling clearance when standing on it. The 158 kg max user weight on dual glide rails also means the frame stays planted under bigger users.

10.1-inch Touchscreen Console with Wi-Fi and Screen Mirroring

The 10.1-inch touchscreen runs your workout data, preloaded apps and training programs from one bright display, with Wi-Fi built in.

Screen mirroring lets you cast content from a phone or tablet straight to the console.

  • 10.1-inch touchscreen display
  • Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Screen mirroring supported
  • SOLE+ integration
  • Preloaded third-party apps

What this means for you: You can follow a guided class, track a ride on an app, or watch a show, all from the one screen in front of you.

Sole E35 Cross Trainer Advanced Interactive Console Technology feature

Adjustable Pedals with 2-Degree Inward Slope

The pedals pin-adjust to 3 positions and sit with a 2-degree inward slope, which follows the natural line of your feet during each stride. The step-up height is 35.6 cm (14 inches).

The Whisper-Quiet Drive keeps the stride smooth and the room quiet.

  • 3-position pin-adjusted pedals
  • 2-degree inward pedal slope
  • 35.6 cm (14-inch) step-up height
  • Whisper-quiet drive, forward and reverse

What this means for you: Being able to set the pedal position means the stride suits more than one user, on short and long sessions alike.

Sole E35 Cross Trainer Ergonomic Design and Fluid Motion feature

10 Pre-Programmed and 12 User-Defined Workout Programs

You get 10 ready-made programs for structure plus 12 slots to save your own sessions. That means your favourite intervals or hill sets load with a tap, no reprogramming each time.

  • 10 pre-programmed workouts
  • 12 user-defined program slots
  • Programs accessed via the 10.1-inch touchscreen

What this means for you: Once you settle on a routine that works, you save it and repeat it without rebuilding it every session.

Sole E35 Cross Trainer Customizable Intensity and Resistance feature

20 Resistance Levels and 20 Levels of Power Incline

Twenty resistance levels and twenty levels of power incline give you plenty of room to scale from an easy recovery session to a demanding hill climb. The incline adjusts under power, so you change it mid-stride.

A heavier climb shifts more load to your glutes and hamstrings; flatter and lighter keeps it aerobic.

  • 20 resistance levels
  • 20 levels of power incline
  • 11.3 kg (25 lb) flywheel
  • Resistance and incline adjust from the console or the hand grips

What this means for you: One machine covers a gentle walk-style glide right through to a leg-burning climb, so it keeps pace as your fitness builds.

Sole E35 Cross Trainer 20-Level Resistance & Incline feature

Multi-Position Rubber-Coated Handlebars with Pulse Grips

The multi-position handlebars let you change your hand placement to work different upper-body angles or just stay comfortable on long sessions. The rubber coating keeps your grip secure when your hands get sweaty.

Pulse grip sensors on the stationary handlebars give you a quick heart-rate read.

  • Multi-position handlebars
  • Rubber-coated grip surface
  • Pulse grip heart-rate sensors on the stationary handlebars

What this means for you: The pulse grips handle casual checks; for accurate heart rate zones at a set intensity, a chest strap is the better tool.

Sole E35 Cross Trainer Multi-Position Hand Grips feature

Dual Heavy-Duty Glide Rails and 158 kg Max User Weight

Four rear wheels ride on dual heavy-duty rails, which keeps the stride stable and cuts side-to-side pedal motion. The frame is rated to a 158 kg max user weight.

At 95.7 kg (211 lbs) net, the machine stays planted rather than shifting under hard efforts.

  • Dual short-track glide rails
  • Max user weight: 158 kg
  • Net weight: 95.7 kg
  • Lifetime frame warranty (domestic use)

What this means for you: The high weight rating and heavy frame mean this suits larger users and holds its line when you push the pace.

Sole E35 Cross Trainer Heavy-Duty Rail System feature

Built-In Speakers, Cooling Fan and Wireless Device Charging

Bluetooth audio speakers play your music or app sound through the console, and the built-in cooling fan takes the edge off longer sessions. Wireless charging keeps your phone topped up while you train.

An integrated tablet holder keeps your device at eye level if you'd rather watch your own content.

  • Bluetooth audio speakers
  • Built-in cooling fan
  • Wireless device charging
  • Integrated tablet holder

What this means for you: The small extras make the difference between a session you cut short and one you actually finish.

Sole E35 Cross Trainer Built-In Speakers, Cooling Fan and Wireless Device Charging feature

Footprint: 178 cm L x 79 cm W x 178 cm H

The assembled footprint is 178 cm long, 79 cm wide and 178 cm high. For headroom, add your own height to the 35.6 cm step-up and the pedal rise; a standard 2.4 m ceiling suits most users.

This is a permanent-install cross trainer rather than a fold-away, so plan the spot before it arrives.

  • Assembled dimensions: 178 cm L x 79 cm W x 178 cm H
  • 35.6 cm (14-inch) step-up height
  • Does not fold

What this means for you: It doesn't fold, so confirm the space is permanent before you build it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quiet is the E35 during a workout?

The Whisper-Quiet Drive system keeps this one genuinely low on noise, so it won't drown out the TV or wake anyone in the next room. Your footstrike and the flywheel spin are the main sounds, and both are soft on a cross trainer. For upstairs installs, a 6 mm rubber mat under the frame cuts transfer to rooms below.

How tall is it and will it fit under my ceiling?

The E35 stands 178 cm tall, with a 35.6 cm (14-inch) step-up height. For headroom, add your own height to the step-up and the pedal rise; a standard 2.4 m ceiling suits most users, but measure if you're tall. The footprint is 178 cm long by 79 cm wide. Leave a little clearance at the back and sides so you can step on and off easily.

Who is the E35 built for and what's the weight limit?

It suits anyone from a first-timer building an aerobic base to an experienced user wanting low-impact sessions at home. The max user weight is 158 kg. The 20 resistance levels and 20 power incline levels give you plenty of range to progress, so it grows with your fitness rather than capping you early.

Does the heart rate tracking actually work for training zones?

The pulse grip sensors on the stationary handlebars handle casual checks fine. For accurate HR zones when you're training at a set aerobic intensity, a chest strap is the better tool, since gripping the bars mid-stride gives jumpier readings. Sole's Australian spec doesn't list chest-strap pairing for this console, so ask us before you buy a strap for it.

How long does the warranty last?

For domestic use (under 2 hours a day), Sole's warranty is lifetime on the frame, 3 years on parts and 1 year on labour. Sole defines lifetime as the product's reasonable life expectancy. We handle the claim with you locally, so you deal with our team in Australia.

How does it ship and what should I expect on delivery day?

The E35 arrives in a single carton about 168 cm long, 46 cm wide and 86 cm high, weighing about 110 kg. It's a heavy, bulky item, so it travels via freight through our network of over 190 depots. Clear a path to the room and have a second person ready to help move the carton.

How hard is it to assemble?

It's a bolt-together build with the hardware packed in four steps that match the manual. The tool kit (Phillips screwdrivers and two spanners), the bolts and fixings, the power cord and the user manual all come in the box. Follow the manual step by step. If you'd rather not, ask us about installation when you request a quote.

What if it arrives damaged or I change my mind?

If anything's damaged or missing, photograph it before unpacking and email support@cardioonline.com.au within 48 hours. We lodge the freight claim and sort replacements. If the product page shows the 100 Day Money Back Guarantee badge, you have 100 days to return it as-new, disassembled in original packaging, for a refund of the product price and original delivery fee, no restocking fee. We organise the return freight; you cover that cost.

Customers praised this cross trainer as "smooth and quiet" with excellent resistance and incline features. Many noted it's "just as good as any club elliptical" with solid construction supporting heavier individuals. Assembly takes 1+ hours and instructions can be challenging. Some found speakers, fan weak, and one customer noted insufficient resistance for fit individuals.

  • Just as good as any club elliptical!! Worth every penny!

Happy with the product

Got it and put it together.. instructions were pretty good. Shipping was great too, the courier rang when they dropped it off, so that was really convenient. The treadmill performs really well for the money, especially with the extra features compared to others in this price range.

Product is as advertised. Easy to assemble, I did this by myself, so would be a breeze with two people. Machine works a dream and is nice and compact

Great machine, frustrating delivery

The Sole cross trainer is an awesome machine. It is very solid and I think it will last a while. It is made of heavy metal frame with well structured supports. As a bigger user, I have no worries about it supporting my weight. It was quite fiddly to put together because of the sheer number of pieces and the very cluttered instructions that took a bit of decoding, even for experienced flat pack builders! But eventually I got it all together and it works great.

The delivery company was disappointing, they gave incorrect arrival dates and it was not actually a live tracker despite showing a map. I had to email them several times to find out where my delivery was. The box weighs 100 kg and it was left laying flat on its side so I had to take all the pieces out so I could move it into my house alone. Better if you have a few people to carry the box in with you.

Nice elliptical

We are very happy with our purchase. This elliptical acts like one that you would find at the gym. It's very quiet and I love that it has the incline feature. My husband and I have used it every day since we've gotten it with no problems. The only cons (which are very small,)are that the speakers are not good, the fan is very weak, and I don't think that you would actually put your water bottle in the compartment that is meant for water bottles, keys etc... Due to its odd shape and placement. (Does work well for a couple tv remotes though ) That being said, that's not why I bought this elliptical. I bought it to help me work out at home, which it does fabulously. I would recommend this product to others.

Great treadmill with good resistance

Two things you should know about me: 1. I'm sensitive to excise machine noises why working out. 2. I'm a big guy 6' 2" 230lbs with nice strong legs. That being said the two biggest factors for me were "does the flywheel provide enough resistance" and "will this thing ding and snap on every rotation".

The good news is that if built correctly this treadmill is the smoothest and quietest workout machine I have every stepped on and I have been on many. It's kind of crazy how smooth the glide motion is even when inclined. The other good news is that the flywheel is resistant enough to get me sweating within the first 3-5 minutes. This is important to note and I might even go as far to say that the next model down would have likely been challenging enough for my workout which is a 30 min cardio with constant resistance and varying incline.

It took about an hour to build and is useable with a 10ft ceiling but I wouldn't recommend any shorter than that. My head gets fairly close if I raise my feet from the pedals. I hope this was helpful.

STOP LOOKING AT REVIEWS AND JUST BUY IT!!!

Stop shopping, looking at reviews and buy this elliptical!!! The only thing that I did not like about it is how long it took to put together. Kind of challenging. BUT ... once I got it together it has been AMAZING!!! Well worth every penny! The only thing you need to do is make sure that the rails that the wheels roll on are clean. Great flow, great programs, even 2 personal programs you can set for your own way of exercising. Just as good as any club elliptical!! Never any noises or knocks or, or, or .... The only sound I ever hear is when the level is at it's lowest, but once I bump it up a couple steps it goes away.
I am a 44-year-old man weighing in at 225 pounds and have never had any problems with it struggling to hold me, VERY SOLID. I have had it three years and it works just as well as when I bought it! Just buy it! It is a little pricey, but did I say WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Not enough resistance for an in shape male

Not enough resistance for a male, maybe for someone who is out of shape. You can barely feel the fan, and the speaker "system" isnt very loud at all, might as well use your phone speaker. The support bars on the floor should be wider, because if you try to go faster to compensate for the lack of resistance, then it isnt very stable. Overall, im still satisfied.

Good workout

Very heavy to move, a bit hard to assemble. A small piece fell inside the metal frame and had to be fished out with magnet. The program menu is awkward to understand. It is very sturdy, and the motorized incline multiplies the levels of difficulty to enhance your workout. The chest strap, -for heart rate monitoring- feels funny around your chest, but after a while you get used to it. It has to be somewhat tight to prevent sliding off your chest. If machine is used regularly, it is a very good addition to your fitness goals.

A well made elliptical

For the price the E35 is not too far off the performance of club elliptical. The stride is smoothly fluid, and my knees do not hurt after using the machine for two months, five days per week (which to me is a solid indicator of the well done med/ergo testing Sole has done in designing their ellipticals). Well made, and sturdy feeling - you will definitely need a hand moving the box unless you are Mr. Universe since it is quite heavy due to he elliptical's high quality construction.
