If you lift at home and want a bench that handles heavy pressing, the CORTEX FID11 carries a 450 kg capacity on a 10-gauge, 2mm commercial steel frame. Its 8 backrest and 3 seat levels move through decline, flat and incline so one bench covers your whole pressing range.
It suits a serious garage or spare-room gym where floor space is shared, with transportation wheels and a wide rubberised base that stays planted under load then rolls out of the way when you're done. Assembly runs to four steps in the manual.
What stands out is the 8 backrest and 3 seat levels: that range lets you hit true decline, flat and incline work without ever fighting for a comfortable angle.
At 126 cm long with a wide rubberised base, it isn't a bench you tuck away between sessions. The transport wheels help, and that 450 kg capacity means it won't flinch under heavy pressing.

The frame is built from 10-gauge, 2mm commercial steel, the kind of gauge you find on gym-floor equipment that gets used all day.
With a 450 kg weight capacity, it holds you plus a loaded barbell without flex or wobble under heavy sets.
What this means for you: If you train heavy at home and want a bench that stays rock-steady under load, this frame is built for it.
Eight backrest positions and three seat levels let you set the bench to decline, flat or incline for a full range of pressing and accessory work.
That range covers flat bench, low and steep incline presses, and decline work from a single piece of kit.
What this means for you: One bench covers most of your pressing variations, so you are not buying separate flat and incline benches.
The padding is high-density, so it supports your back and keeps its shape set after set rather than bottoming out under load.
The premium stitching holds the upholstery together through repeated adjustment and heavy use.
What this means for you: Firm, supportive padding gives you a stable base to press from, which matters when you are pushing near-maximal weight.
The adjustment contact points are chrome-plated, which resists the wear and corrosion that comes from constant position changes and sweat.
What this means for you: The parts you handle most stay smooth and clean over years of use.
The base is wide and rubberised, which keeps the bench planted and stops it sliding during explosive reps.
The rubber contact also helps protect your flooring from scuffs and marks.
What this means for you: A stable, grippy base means the bench stays exactly where you set it, even when you drive hard off the pad.
Transportation wheels let you tip and roll the bench to reposition it instead of lifting the full commercial-steel frame.
What this means for you: Handy if you share a space or need to move the bench aside between sessions.

Effort: 4 assembly steps in the manual. Tools: spanners for the M10 and M8 bolts and nuts.
It ships flat-packed in a single carton measuring 118 cm x 47 cm x 22 cm, so it fits through a standard doorway without trouble. On delivery day, check the carton for any transit damage before you sign, and have a clear spot ready to unpack. Keep the original packaging aside until you've assembled and tested the bench.
Take photos before you unpack further and email them to support@cardioonline.com.au within 48 hours of delivery. We'll lodge the freight claim, organise replacement parts or a full unit, and stay across it until you're sorted. You don't chase the courier or CORTEX directly, that's our job to handle for you.
The manual covers it in 4 steps: fit the backrest and seat gear plates to the main support, join the support to the base, add the backrest and seat frames with their adjusters, then bolt on the two cushions. You'll need spanners for the M10 and M8 bolts and nuts. The manual doesn't say how many people it takes; the carton weighs 29.5 kg, and a helper makes it easier to hold the frame square while you bolt it. Lay the parts out first and follow the step order rather than guessing.
The FID11 is rated to 450 kg, which covers your bodyweight plus heavy loaded barbell and dumbbell work with a wide margin. That 450 kg capacity comes from the 10-gauge, 2 mm commercial steel frame and wide rubberised base. For most lifters pressing in the 100 to 180 kg range, you'll never get near the limit. It's built for serious, repeated use.
Assembled, it's 126 cm long and 74 cm wide, with height adjusting from 45.5 cm up to 117.2 cm depending on the setting. The wide, rubberised base keeps it planted through heavy presses, so it won't shift under you. Transportation wheels let you tilt and roll it aside when you need the floor back for other work.
You get 8 backrest levels and 3 seat levels, giving you decline, flat and incline work from the one bench. That range covers flat pressing, steep shoulder incline work and decline sets without needing a second bench. The seat adjustment matters most on incline, it stops you sliding forward under load so you stay locked into position.
Yes. The high-density padding with premium stitching stays supportive under load rather than sinking, which is exactly what you want when you're driving hard off the bench. Soft, pillowy pads feel nice at first but rob you of stability on heavy sets. This one keeps your back and shoulders planted, and the stitching holds up to constant use.
It comes with 12 months parts replacement, handled locally by us. If a component fails inside that window, email support@cardioonline.com.au and we'll organise the replacement part for you. Keep your order details handy so we can confirm the purchase quickly and get the right part out to you.
