Sole F85 Treadmill

I am very happy with the features on the treadmill so far. Cardio Online delivered it promptly within a week. Unfortunately Cardio Online does not have any installation service in Adelaide but Tristram kindly offered assistance with looking for some contractors for me to call for quotes. The treadmill is a heavy unit and can only be delivered to the front door for health and safety purposes. One needs to be prepared with at least 2 strong adults to carry into the house. Managed to install it ourselves with instructions provided. Very happy with prompt service. Thank you

The Sole F85 is a bit on the expensive side but worth every penny. It arrived promptly and was very straightforward to construct. Was able to assemble on my own but two people would make it easier. It had a bit of a squeak whilst using the machine, so applied some silicone spray and no more squeaks. Overall very happy with my purchase as this machine is top quality and loaded with features.

This is without a doubt the very best consumer treadmill I have ever used! Still performs as good today as it did the day I bought it 2 years ago!

Stronger more powerful motor than most treadmills, and the longest warranty in it's class, a ton of programmable features for tailoring your workouts, plus fans and speakers to attach your smart phone for music or videos while running. It even programs hills into it's features! It also folds up to minimize it's storage footprint.

I splurged and bought the Sole f85 treadmill instead of getting a proform or lower model sole. I thought the 4 hp would make a huge difference in running long distances but i was not overly impressed. Also, the technology is not up to par. It appears to have a touch screen But does not. There are limited programs and ways to program. I don't see any functionality for connecting to the internet to download more programs. It does have blue tooth and you can hook up your iPod to play through the speakers. Also, there was a defect in the computer so sole sent me the whole upper section of the treadmill. That was great service, but wow. To me, it's a slightly above average treadmill.

Soooooo happy we decided to purchase this instead of the others we had thought about. Found out that one of the reasons that Sole machines last for so long is because most motors in other treadmills operate at almost max capacity. Sole motors operate at 85% at the maximum speed and incline use which prevents the motors from blowing out and consumers being without their beloved treadmill.

I also have a friend who works part-time fixing home gym equipment and highly recommended the Soles. The gentlemen who came to assemble ours also stated that we made a smart purchase.

Although a little pricier than others - I would definitely recommend it.

Solid treadmill, easy to set up (took about an hour while I was watching TV) and runs incredibly smooth. I've owned a couple of other mid-range treadmills and this setup blows them all away. No deck bounce, no belt surges while you're running and the controls are dead easy.

And if someone hasn't posted a video of the hydraulic transition from folded to floor, let me tell you, it's super cool. Once folded (which my 12 yr old can lift) there is a handle on the underside to allow the deck to lower. Once you flip the handle the deck drops slowly from completely folded to ready to use-- just step back and watch it drop.

I have now had the f85 for 2 weeks and I really like it. I use it for running and not walking so finding a treadmill with a solid deck and good motor was very important. The deck construction on the f85 is very solid and the treadmill is pretty quiet. I would recommend this to anyone whose emphasis is on a strong treadmill and NOT on frills. The speakers are average at best and the volume cannot be controlled from console. I prefer to use my headphones. It does not get very hot where I live so the fans are not as important but they are not very powerful. If you live in a hot climate the fans would not even be a factor with only one speed. Also, as others have mentioned when doing interval work, it takes the treadmill a while to change speeds after you push the buttons. It is much more gradual at switching speeds than most treadmills. It also would have been nice to have a console that had ifit or training programs availabe since the technology has become so affordable. I still give this 4 stars despite the flaws because of the durability.

Works great so far, very sturdy and well built unit. Be aware that delivery is to front door or garage only (according to my delivery person). If you need it moved anywhere else inside your home to be assembled you will have to move the 300 lb. box yourself.

If you're a big person (150 kg & 6'5") like I am, this is the treadmill for you. I had been shopping for a treadmill for months but because of my size, I wasn't having much luck. All of the consumer grade machines out there had a weight capacity of only 100 to 130 kgs. I was losing hope then I found the Sole F-85. I have to admit, I was nervous about dropping 4300 dollars on a product without having the opportunity to try it but this treadmill didn't disappoint. It was took about 2 and a half hours to assemble it. The printed instructions were somewhat lacking but luckily there are videos on youtube which show the whole process step by step.

As soon as I pulled my F-85 out of the box, I was impressed. Most home treadmills are small and fragile looking. That wasn't the case with the the F-85. Even though it's not a commercial grade unit, you wouldn't know by looking at it. This sucker is BIG and STURDY and it handles my weight without any difficulty. Now granted, I only use my treadmill for walking but most treadmills I've tried for home gyms will slow down or even stop if I step down too hard. The Sole doesn't even strain itself. It just keeps chuggin'

NOW... The Sole doesn't have a touch screen or a video monitor that shows you pretty scenery. But for a $4300 price tag, you can't beat it with a stick. This is as good as almost any machine I've used at healthclubs. It's long enough that you don't have to shorten your strides. It's got a very user friendly LED display panel with large easy to read characters and the button controls are clearly marked and concise. It took me about 5 minutes to figure everything out.

BOTTOM LINE... If you're a big person and you want a piece of equipment that delivers the goods without breaking your budget. YOU GOTTA GET YOU ONE OF THESE!!! :-)
