If you want to add steady walking to your work-from-home day, the Lenoxx Walking Pad (model TM111) runs from 1 to 8 km/h on a 1.5 HP motor and takes users up to 120 kg. You control it from the included remote, and the LED display shows speed, distance, time and calories.
The trade-off is belt length: at 100 cm it suits slow, steady desk walking, and it's shorter than the 115 to 125 cm we'd recommend for walking at full stride. In return it's just 12.5 cm high, so it slides under a bed or sofa when you're done.
What sells me on this one is the 12.5 cm height: it's a flat pad with nothing to fold, so it slides under a bed or sofa and the floor space comes straight back.
It tops out at 8 km/h and the belt is 100 cm long, so treat it as a desk-walking pad. The remote is the practical bit: you change pace without bending down to the console mid-walk.

The 1.5 HP motor drives a speed range of 1 to 8 km/h.
That covers desk walking and steady indoor walks, which is the job this pad is built for.
What this means for you: If you mostly want to add steps to your day indoors, this is the pace band you'll use.
The LED display shows time, speed, distance and calories so you can keep tabs on each session.
Six pre-set programmes (P01 to P06) step the speed up and down for you, between 1 and 6 km/h.
What this means for you: Pick a programme and just walk, instead of nudging the speed the whole way through.
The non-slip running belt measures 100 cm x 40 cm and sits on a shock-absorbing surface.
At 40 cm wide it's in the compact width range we class as walking-only.
What this means for you: For normal-pace walking we recommend at least 115 cm of belt length, so this one suits a slower desk-walking pace best.
It's a flat pad, 12.5 cm high, so it slides under a bed or sofa between sessions.
Transport wheels let you tilt it and roll it into place.
What this means for you: If floor space is why you've put off a treadmill, this one tucks out of sight when you're done.
A handheld remote starts and stops the pad, changes speed and selects programmes, so you're not bending down to the console mid-walk.
It comes with an insulation tab in the battery compartment: pull it out before first use.
What this means for you: Handy if you walk while you work, since you can change pace without breaking stride.
A steel main frame with an ABS motor cover carries the load.
The 120 kg max user weight is the limit to check before you buy.
What this means for you: Confirm you sit under the 120 kg limit, and it's a sturdy base for everyday walking.
The box includes an Allen key for belt adjustment and a bottle of lubricant for the deck.
The manual says to lubricate after the first 25 hours of use (or 2 to 3 months), then every 50 hours (or 5 to 8 months).
What this means for you: A couple of minutes of upkeep every few months keeps the belt running smoothly.

The 1.5 HP motor is built for walking pace, and at a slow desk-walking speed most people can take a call or watch TV. Your footstrike adds some noise depending on your weight and shoes. On an upstairs floor, a rubber mat underneath reduces transfer to the room below.
Yes. There's no app: the LED display shows time, speed, distance and calories, the remote handles start, stop and speed, and 6 pre-set programmes are built in. Plug it in and walk.
People who want slow, steady walking under a standing desk or at home, up to 120 kg. The top speed is 8 km/h, and at 100 cm the belt is shorter than the 115 to 125 cm we'd recommend for walking at a normal pace, so if you walk briskly or you're tall, a longer belt will feel better. It's not built for running.
It measures 125 cm long, 52 cm wide and 12.5 cm high. It doesn't fold: it's a flat, low pad that slides under a bed or sofa with enough clearance. Transport wheels let you tilt it and roll it into place.
No assembly is needed. Pull the insulation tab out of the remote, put the pad on a firm flat surface, plug it in and walk. The Allen key and lubricant in the box are for belt adjustment and deck lubrication later on.
