If you're setting up a home gym and want to build strength with free weights, this 90kg set covers barbell, dumbbell and curl work in one go. Cast iron tri-grip plates give you 75kg of plates, four each of 10kg, 5kg, 2.5kg and 1.25kg, so you can load small jumps as you progress.
It suits a lifter who wants one complete starting kit: the 180cm standard barbell, dumbbell handles and EZ curl bar all take these standard plates, and the included weight tree keeps everything off the floor and in reach between sets.
What stands out is the tri-grip casting: those three cut-out handles make loading and carrying plates far easier than flat discs, especially the 10kg ones when you're setting up alone.
The standard-size holes won't fit Olympic bars, so it's a home-training set, not a gym upgrade path. The included weight tree keeps plates off the floor and sorted by size.

The tri-grip design gives you three cut-out handles on every plate, so loading a bar and carrying weights around the garage is a two-hand job rather than a fumble.
Heavy-duty cast iron holds its shape and is built for years of loading.
What this means for you: That plate spread lets you make small jumps of 1.25kg a side, which matters when you're adding weight to curls and presses week to week.
Four plates in each of four weights means you can micro-load as you get stronger instead of jumping too far too soon.
What this means for you: In my experience with people starting out, the 1.25kg plates are the ones that keep training sustainable, you add a little and your body adapts rather than stalling.
The 180cm standard bar is the backbone of the set, long enough for squats, bench press and rows at home.
It takes the standard plates in this set, so everything in this kit mounts straight on.
What this means for you: 180cm is a sensible length for a home rack or bench without overhanging a tight garage bay.
The included dumbbell handles turn the same plates into adjustable dumbbells, so one set covers both barbell and dumbbell work.
What this means for you: One plate set doing double duty keeps the kit compact, handy if you're training in a spare room rather than a full gym.
The EZ curl bar gives your wrists an angled grip for curls and triceps extensions, which feels far kinder than a straight bar on long arm sessions.
What this means for you: Hands-on, the cambered grip takes the strain off your wrists during high-rep arm work, which is where most people feel a straight bar.
Eight spiral spin collars lock your plates in place across all three bars, so nothing shifts mid-set.
What this means for you: Having a full count of collars means you can leave each bar loaded and ready rather than swapping collars around between exercises.
The weight tree keeps every plate off the floor and sorted by size, so your training space stays clear and you're not bending to the ground to reload.
What this means for you: A tidy rack is the difference between a home gym you actually use and a pile of plates you step over, that's where this one earns its keep.
The dumbbell handles have rubber grips, which give you a surer hold through high-rep sets, especially with sweaty hands late in a session.
What this means for you: Small detail, but a handle that doesn't slip in your hand is one you'll trust when you're fatigued.

It ships as a boxed set: the 180cm standard barbell, EZ curl bar, dumbbell handles, all 16 plates, eight spin collars and the weight tree. It ships in several cartons, about 103kg all up with packaging, and we deliver through a network of over 190 depots. Check the plate count and collars when it arrives, and keep the packaging until you've confirmed everything's there.
Take photos before fully unpacking and email support@cardioonline.com.au within 48 hours of delivery. We'll lodge the freight claim, organise replacement plates, collars or bars, and stay across it until your set is complete. You don't chase the courier or the manufacturer yourself, that's our job.
There's no real assembly for the weights themselves. The barbell, EZ curl bar and dumbbell handles are ready to load, you just slide plates on and lock them with the spiral spin collars. The only putting-together is the weight tree rack, which you stand up and tighten so you've got a tidy home for the 16 plates. One person can handle it.
If this page shows the 100 Day Money Back Guarantee badge, you've got 100 days to change your mind. Return it as-new in the original packaging with every plate, bar and collar included. We refund the product price and your original delivery fee, with no restocking charge. We'll book the return freight; you cover that cost. Any installation fees aren't refundable.
These plates have a 27mm hole made for 25mm standard bars, including the 180cm barbell, EZ curl bar and dumbbell handles in this set. They won't fit Olympic 50mm bars. If your existing bar is the standard 25mm type, these plates will slide straight on and lock with the included spin collars.
You get 90kg total including the bars, with 75kg of that in plates: four 10kg, four 5kg, four 2.5kg and four 1.25kg cast iron tri-grip plates. Add the 180cm standard barbell, a pair of dumbbell handles, a standard EZ curl bar, eight spiral spin collars and the weight tree rack. It covers barbell, dumbbell and curl work from one set.
Best for beginners and intermediate lifters building a home setup who want barbell, dumbbell and curl options without buying three separate kits. The tri-grip plates make loading and carrying easier than flat discs. If you're already pressing or deadlifting heavy, 90kg across bars may cap you sooner, so factor in room to add plates later.
The tree rack has a small floor footprint and keeps the plates upright in one corner, so you're not stacking discs on the floor. The 180cm barbell needs clear length to load and lift, so plan on a couple of metres of open floor for training.
