If you train at home and want a squat rack and cable station in one footprint, the CORTEX PR-5 pairs a 14-gauge steel frame with dual pulleys rated to 100kg per side. J-hooks hold 220kg, the safety spotters take 200kg, and 15 numbered height positions let you set the bar and cables exactly where your lifts need them.
It suits a serious lifter working in a shared or tight space: the frame folds from 170cm to 98cm wide, giving the floor back between sessions. With a pull-up bar, chest press and fly station, landmine holder and included lat and low-row bars, one rig covers both heavy barbell work and cable training.
What grabs me on the PR-5 is the fold: it drops from 170cm to 98cm wide, so you reclaim real floor between sessions. Rare on a full rack-plus-trainer.
The 100kg-per-side cable limit means it isn't built for heavy lat-pulldown loading. For pressing and spotting work, those padded J-hooks rated to 220kg are where it earns its keep.

The frame folds back against the wall, dropping the footprint from 170 cm wide to 98 cm when you're not training. That gives you the floor back for a shared garage, spare room or multi-use space.
What this means for you: If your gym doubles as a garage or spare room, you can fold it flat and park the car or open the space back up.
This is a functional trainer and a power rack in a single unit, so you can run cable work, pressing, pull-ups and barbell lifts without a second machine. One frame covers most of a full-body programme.
What this means for you: One frame handles cable, bodyweight and barbell training, so you don't need to buy three separate pieces of kit.
The frame is built from 14-gauge steel and the cables carry a 2,000 lb tensile rating, so the unit holds up to heavy, repeated loading. At 134 kg assembled, it sits planted during pull-ups and heavy pulls.
What this means for you: The load ratings mean this frame grows with the lifter rather than topping out after your first strength gains.
The uprights carry 15 numbered height positions, so you can set the J-hooks and safety spotters at the right level for squats, presses and rack pulls. The numbering means you repeat the exact same setup every session.
What this means for you: Numbered positions let you move the hooks for the next exercise and reset them identically next time, with no guesswork.
Built-in plate holders and bar storage keep your Olympic and standard plates on the frame instead of on the floor. Each weight plate holder is rated to 100 kg, so the bulk of a home plate set lives on the unit.
What this means for you: Storing plates on the frame keeps the surrounding floor clear, which matters most when you fold the unit away.
The attachments you need to start training come in the box, so there's no separate shopping list before your first session. That covers cable pulldowns, rows, landmine work and banded exercises straight away.
What this means for you: You can run cable, barbell and band work from day one without buying extra handles first.
Assembly is a two-person job that follows 15 steps in the manual, and the bolts and fixings come in the box. You'll need a spanner or wrench, or an Allen key.
At 142 kg total shipping weight across three cartons, plan for a hand to move it into place before you start.
What this means for you: Have a second pair of hands ready and work through the steps in order, and the build is a straightforward bolt-together job.

Effort: a two-person job, 15 assembly steps in the manual. Tools: a spanner / wrench or Allen key (bolts and fixings are included).
At 220cm tall, the PR-5 needs a little over 2.2m of clearance. A standard Australian ceiling is around 2.4m, so it fits comfortably in most rooms. Measure your actual ceiling first, and leave a few centimetres above the pull-up bar for your hands. Garages and basements with lower beams are the ones to check carefully before you commit.
Assembled it's 176cm long by 170cm wide. Folded, the width drops to 98cm, so it tucks much closer to the wall between sessions. That's genuinely useful if the rack shares a garage with cars or a spare room with other gear. The height stays 220cm either way, so plan vertical clearance around the full footprint.
The dual pulleys are plate-loaded, rated to 100kg per side. That covers rows, pressdowns and fly work for most home lifters. The manual doesn't publish a pulley ratio, so judge the feel by the handle rather than the number on the plates. The 2,000lb tensile cables handle that load with plenty of margin. Load each side independently to suit the exercise.
It takes standard 6ft or Olympic 7ft barbells, and both Olympic and standard plates. The J-hooks are rated to 220kg and safety spotters to 200kg, so it handles serious squatting and pressing loads. There are weight and bar storage points built into the frame too, so your plates stay off the floor and within reach.
It suits a lifter who wants a full training station in one footprint: power rack, functional trainer and press/fly work together. With 15 numbered height positions and a 220kg J-hook rating, it grows from beginner to experienced. If you only ever bodyweight train, it's more rack than you need, but for barbell plus cable work it earns its space.
It arrives as three cartons with a total shipping weight of 142kg. The longest carton is 230cm, so clear a path to your training space before the courier arrives. The cartons are heavy (45 to 49kg each), so have a second person on hand to move them inside. Check all three are present against the delivery before signing.
It's a two-person job with 15 steps in the manual. You'll need a spanner or wrench, or an Allen key; all bolts and fixings are included. The finished unit weighs 134kg, so build it in its permanent spot rather than moving it afterwards. Work through the steps in order and keep fixings grouped, and you'll have a sturdy, square frame by the end.
