Resistance TypeMagnetic
Flywheel Weight9 kg (20 lb)
Programs7 preset programs, 2 user-defined
Max User Weight158 kg
WarrantyLifetime on the frame, 3 years on parts and 1 year on labour (domestic use)

If you want low-impact cardio at home, the Sole E25 runs on a 9 kg (20 lb) flywheel with 20 magnetic resistance levels and 20 power incline levels, and it's rated for users up to 158 kg. The 7.5 inch backlit LCD tracks time, distance, speed, calories and pulse, so you can see every session at a glance.

It suits a household chasing steady aerobic work without pounding the knees, with ergonomic pedals set at a 2-degree inward slope and dual glide rails keeping the stride smooth. The trade-off: it's a backlit LCD console with no Wi-Fi or built-in apps, but Bluetooth sends your data to the SOLE+ app and plays audio through the speakers, and you get 7 preset programs plus 2 you set yourself.

Is this cross trainer right for you?

This cross trainer is right for you if:

  • You train 3-5 days a week and want 20 resistance and 20 power-incline levels to keep progressing
  • You weigh up to 158 kg, or share the machine with a heavier user
  • You want Bluetooth speakers and SOLE+ app data transfer without paying for a touchscreen
  • You want a steel frame with a lifetime frame warranty for regular home use

Look at another option if:

  • You only step on a couple of times a week for a gentle session and don't need 20 incline levels
  • You're on a tighter budget and happy with a lighter flywheel and fewer resistance levels
  • You want Wi-Fi, a touchscreen or adjustable pedals: the E25 has a backlit LCD, no Wi-Fi and fixed pedals
  • You have a tight footprint and can't give up a permanent 178 cm by 61 cm floor space

Adela's Take

What grabs me on the E25 is the 20-level power incline paired with a 35.5 cm step-up height, so you can shift from flat striding to a steep glute-focused climb mid-session.

The straight foam-coated grips keep things simple, so don't expect multiple hand positions for upper-body variety. Incline and resistance buttons sit on the grips as well as the console, so you can change both without breaking stride.

7.5 Inch Backlit LCD Console

The 7.5 inch backlit screen stays readable in a dim garage or a sunlit spare room, and it tracks the seven metrics most people actually use to pace a session.

Nine programs cover you whether you like following a set workout or dialling in your own targets.

  • 7.5 inch backlit LCD display
  • Tracks Time, Distance, Speed, Calories, Pulse, Resistance and Incline
  • 7 preset programs plus 2 user-defined programs
  • Built-in pulse sensors for heart rate readings

What this means for you: You can see your numbers at a glance and switch between a guided program and your own routine without digging through menus.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer Intuitive LCD Console feature

20 Resistance Levels and 20-Level Power Incline

Magnetic resistance across 20 levels lets you move from an easy recovery stride to a hard climb, and the 9 kg flywheel keeps the motion smooth through each change.

The power incline shifts across 20 levels at the touch of a button, so you can target different leg muscles mid-session without stopping.

  • 20 levels of magnetic resistance
  • 20 levels of power incline
  • 9 kg flywheel for a steady, even stride
  • Incline and resistance both adjust from the console

What this means for you: One machine covers gentle aerobic work right through to leg-burning climbs, so your sessions can keep progressing as you get fitter.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer Adjustable Incline & Resistance feature

Steel Frame With Ergonomic Pedals and Dual Glide Rails

The steel frame and 95 kg machine weight give this cross trainer a planted feel, and it supports users up to 158 kg. Dual short-track glide rails keep the stride smooth at either end.

The pedals carry a 2-degree inward slope to sit more naturally under your feet during a long session.

  • Steel frame construction
  • Product weight 95 kg for stability
  • Max user weight 158 kg
  • Dual short-track glide rails
  • Ergonomic pedals with 2-degree inward slope
  • 35.5 cm step-up height

What this means for you: The planted frame and low step-up height mean you can train hard without the machine rocking or feeling awkward to get on and off.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer Stable & Comfortable Design feature

Bluetooth Speakers and SOLE+ Data Transfer

Bluetooth sends your workout data to the SOLE+ app so it isn't lost at the end of a session. There's no Wi-Fi or built-in streaming on this console.

Built-in Bluetooth speakers and a USB Type A charging port (5V 1A) let you play audio and keep a device topped up while you train.

  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • SOLE+ app data transfer
  • Built-in Bluetooth speakers
  • USB Type A charging port (5V 1A)

What this means for you: For accurate heart rate zones, a chest strap (sold separately) beats the pulse grips; the console has a wireless heart rate receiver, so check strap compatibility with us before you buy one.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer Connectivity Options feature

178 cm Footprint With Transport Wheels

At 178 cm long and 61 cm wide, this sits within a normal spare-room or garage footprint. For headroom, add your own height to the 35.5 cm step-up and the pedal rise; a standard 2.4 m ceiling suits most users.

Two front transport wheels let you tilt it and roll it aside when the space needs to do double duty.

  • Assembled dimensions: 178 cm L x 61 cm W x 178 cm H
  • 35.5 cm step-up height
  • Two front transport wheels
  • 95 kg weight stays put once settled

What this means for you: You get a full-size stride without a full gym's worth of floor, and you can still move it when you need the room back.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer Compact Footprint feature

Tablet Holder, Bottle Holder and Reading Rack

Everything you reach for mid-session has a home: a tablet or phone holder at eye level, a reading rack and a water bottle holder.

  • Tablet and phone holder
  • Reading rack
  • Water bottle holder
  • USB charging port alongside the holders

What this means for you: No balancing a drink on the frame or leaving your phone on the floor, which keeps longer sessions far less fiddly.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer Built In Storage feature

Assembly With Tools Supplied

The E25 needs bolting together, and the manual includes the exploded-view diagram and parts list. The tools come in the box: two Phillips screwdrivers, an 8 mm Allen wrench and two spanners (12/14 mm and 13/14 mm).

The machine ships at 105 kg packed into a 168 x 46 x 86 cm carton, so clear a path to your training space before it arrives and line up a second person to move the box.

  • Assembly tools supplied in the box
  • Phillips screwdrivers, 8 mm Allen wrench, 12/14 and 13/14 mm spanners
  • All bolts and fixings included
  • Shipping weight: 105 kg
  • Packaging dimensions: 168 cm L x 46 cm W x 86 cm H

What this means for you: Everything you need to build it comes in the box, so there's no trip to the hardware store before your first session.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer Product Manual feature

9 kg Flywheel for a Smooth, Even Stride

The 9 kg flywheel carries the pedal through each revolution so the stride feels continuous rather than jerky, especially at higher resistance.

Straight foam-coated hand grips give you a secure hold through standing intervals.

  • 9 kg (20 lb) flywheel
  • Magnetic resistance for quiet operation
  • Straight foam-coated hand grips
  • Ergonomic pedals with 2-degree inward slope

What this means for you: A heavier flywheel feel makes long steady sessions easier to settle into because the pedals keep their rhythm for you.

Sole E25 Cross Trainer 9 kg Flywheel for a Smooth, Even Stride feature

Frequently Asked Questions

How quiet is the Sole E25 during a workout?

Very quiet. Magnetic resistance has no friction pads rubbing on the flywheel, so you mostly hear a smooth whir and your footfall on the pedals. You can hold a conversation or watch TV at a comfortable volume while you train. On an upstairs install, a 6 mm rubber mat under the frame reduces footstrike transfer to the room below.

Who is the Sole E25 built for?

It suits anyone wanting a low-impact full-body cardio machine at home, from beginners to regular trainers. The 20 resistance levels and 20-level power incline give you plenty of room to progress. With a 158 kg max user weight and a 95 kg steel frame, it stays steady for heavier users who push hard. Always check with your GP before starting a new programme.

What do the built-in pulse sensors actually give me?

The stationary handlebars have built-in pulse sensors that give a rough heart rate reading when you hold them. They're fine for a casual check. If you want accurate HR zones for steady aerobic work, a chest strap (sold separately) is the better tool, since gripping fixed handles mid-stride isn't ideal for a clean reading. The console has a wireless heart rate receiver; ask us which straps are compatible.

How much space does the Sole E25 need?

Assembled, it measures 178 cm long, 61 cm wide and 178 cm tall. For headroom, add your own height to the 35.5 cm step-up and the pedal rise; a standard 2.4 m ceiling suits most users. It doesn't fold, so confirm the spot is permanent before you build it. Front transport wheels let you shift it for cleaning.

How is the Sole E25 delivered and what's involved in assembly?

It ships as a single boxed unit weighing 105 kg (packaging 168 x 46 x 86 cm) via our freight network of over 190 depots, so plan for two people to move the carton. Assembly is bolt-together from the manual's diagrams, and the tools are supplied: two Phillips screwdrivers, an 8 mm Allen wrench and two spanners, with all bolts and fixings included.

What happens if it arrives damaged or a part is missing?

Take photos before you unpack further and send them to support@cardioonline.com.au within 48 hours of delivery. We'll lodge the freight claim, organise replacement parts or a full unit, and stay across it until you're set up. You don't deal with the courier or the manufacturer directly, that's our job.

What warranty comes with the Sole E25?

For domestic use, Sole's warranty on the E25 is lifetime on the frame, 3 years on parts and 1 year on labour. Sole defines lifetime as the product's reasonable life expectancy. We handle any claim with you locally, so you deal with our team in Australia.

What if I change my mind after it arrives?

If the E25's product page shows the 100 Day Money Back Guarantee badge, you have 100 days from purchase to return it. It needs to be as-new, disassembled and repackaged in the original box with all parts. We refund the product price and your original delivery fee, with no restocking fee. We organise the return freight; you cover that cost.

Customers praised this elliptical for its smooth, quiet operation and 25 lb flywheel. One said it "runs like a dream." The machine offers challenging workout programs and excellent value. However, shoppers noted assembly instructions could be clearer, the fan is weak, and storage space is limited.

  • It's so quiet and smooth, and has challenging programs
  • Best price-benefit option, using for almost 2 years and it's still like new
  • The 25 lb flywheel allowed extremely smooth operation

Excellent ellipticalmachine

We needed a way to get good cardio besides the treadmill we already owned, so chose this Sole E25 unit. A very good decision. It's smooth, well-constructed and an excellent workout. We have thoroughly enjoyed it. I could give it five stars if some aspects of the assembly had been easier, but now that it's together, it's all good. The various programs you choose from are challenging and enable you to switch your workout up as you wish. The little fan is just that -- a little fan -- nothing that's going to help much to keep you cool. You'll want something bigger to keep air circulating during your workout. It did develop some creaks and "swooshing" sounds after about the third day, but that was just the glide rails in need of lubrication. Once they were lubed with the oil that is included, they were silent and smooth again. We like this ellliptical very much.

Smooth and stready

Speakers work nice, but fan kinda worthless. The machine it self runs like a dream. It's so quiet and smooth, and and has challenging programs, and easy ones for those sore days in between. Very easy to put together, and has nice wheels to move with ease after assembly. The heart rate belt is comfortable and consistent. Great design for price without having to drive to gym.

Five Stars

Best price-benefit option, have been using our elliptical machine for almost 2 years and it's still like new.

Great machine with minor assembly and operational glitches

Great machine. Much better than other machines I've tried. The 25 lb flywheel allowed extremely smooth operation.
I would have given it 5 stars except for the following issues:
1 - Assembly instructions were adequate but could use more step-by-step text instructions. Following the pictorial instructions made me make a few errors which I had to correct.
2 - Had trouble with the chest strap not registering an accurate heart beat. I was wearing the strap centered on my chest and found that moving it to the left 1.5 - 2 inches gave more accurate results.

East to put together and my wife loves it.

It's ok

I gave this 3 stars. It's built well but the assembly instruction particularly the wiring harness are not very clear.

There is very little room for a tv remote or drink bottle or cell phone.
